The University of Eastern Finland generates research-based knowledge that is openly accessible and benefits all. Our collaboration is based on the Code of Conduct, and we bear social responsibility both regionally and globally.
We collaborate with Finnish and international partners and stakeholders, including research institutes, universities and other educational institutions, as well as with business and industry, public sector actors and our alumni. Our international network of collaboration includes around 100 universities from all over the world. Our researchers raise awareness of scientific research in events aimed at the public.

Our alumni form a strong, diverse and international network of academic experts. We welcome all graduates and former exchange students of the University of Eastern Finland, the University of Kuopio and the University of Joensuu to join the UEF Alumni Network.
In the network, we keep in touch with you and keep you updated about the possibilities UEF offers for continuing education. As a member, you can participate in alumni events in Finland and abroad.
Students that have completed their Master’s degree or PhD degree have the right to complement their studies after graduation with a continued right to study.

International collaboration
The University of Eastern Finland considers international collaboration and internationalisation as one of the cornerstones of its activities. The university seeks to attract an increasing number of international students and staff members, while at the same time promoting the internationalisation of its own staff and students. We are an active member of the international scientific community.
UEF Newsletter
The UEF Newsletter provides regular updates on the latest research and education news, long reads, professor interviews, blog posts and and current events at the University of Eastern Finland.
The newsletter serves our staff members, alumni, stakeholders and anyone interested in our university and science. The newsletter is distributed to subscribers about ten times a year.
The UEF Newsletter is produced by the Communications and Media Relations at the University of Eastern Finland.
