RESOURCE Research Community at the University of Eastern Finland is organising the 1st International Conference on Sustainable Resource Society on 25-26 October as an online event. The Conference joins views across numerous disciplines, such as economics, business studies, law, environmental policy, geography, history, sociology, and cultural studies, to discuss a wide variety of matters relating to sustainability, environment, energy, climate, raw materials, and resources. The language of the conference is English, and participation is free.
The conference programme includes talks by our keynote speakers Professor Jan Rotmans (Dutch Institute For Transitions, DRIFT) and Professor Paula Kivimaa (Finnish Environment Institute, SYKE), workshop sessions, and panel discussions.
Registration for the conference is open until 22.10. Please register via this Registration form. Instructions and links to the online platform will be sent to all registered participants well in advance of the conference.
To provide an outlet for continuing the discussion after the Conference, UEF RESOURCE and the Sustainability journal are collaborating on publishing a special issue on ‘Sustainable Resource Society’. Read more about the special issue here.
