The Escape from Hybrid Lab escape room game has been implemented as part of the UEF Hybrid Lab project, which aimed to develop and test UEF's hybrid training model and hybrid training concept, increase hybrid training expertise and build a physical hybrid learning environment on the Kuopio and Joensuu campuses of the University of Eastern Finland.

What is the UEF Hybrid Lab?

UEF Hybrid Lab is a test learning environment of the Centre for Continuous Learning at the University of Eastern Finland, where new technical, pedagogical and functional solutions are developed to produce even better hybrid trainings or development opportunities implemented as a hybrid.

UEF Hybrid Lab offers a unique opportunity to participate in training and development events flexibly, either remotely or physically on site. Our new hybrid learning environment combines the best of proximity and distance learning, enabling a diverse and inclusive learning experience for participants.

The project aimed to create a new learning environment and operating model for hybrid teaching by co-developing space, technology and operating methods with representatives of various stakeholders, such as teachers, trainers, designers, IT experts, students and companies. The aim was to create a dynamic and interactive environment that supports best practices in hybrid education and provides participants with flexible participation and an enriching learning experience.
