An educational event on the use of VR-haptics in dental education will be organised by the School of Dentistry, University of Utah, on 7 June 2024, in association with the recently founded VR-Haptic Thinkers network. The one-day, hybrid, free-to-join meetup on VR-Haptic Dentistry, Pedagogy, and Curriculum Evolution aims to explore the transformative impact of virtual technology on dental education and instructional strategies. The event will be organised in collaboration with the Institute of Dentistry, University of Eastern Finland.
The meetup will feature a robust programme to help attendees engage with other dental community members who are curious about the new winds in dental education. The attendees have much to gain from listening to the results of the latest observations and research in the field of VR-haptics. Utilising this knowledge will aid in planning and performing one’s daily responsibilities in dental education and research.
With support from the esteemed American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE), the event is free to join both in person and online. The organisers are anticipating at least 300 registrants based on the previous year’s meetup.
Join us to learn, develop professionally, meet colleagues, and celebrate the supportive power of VR-haptic training! The VR-Haptic Thinkers community hopes to see you in Salt Lake City!
