The 3rd Joensuu Conference on Coherence and Random Polarization

Center for Photonics Sciences will host the 3rd Joensuu Conference on Coherence and Random Polarization with the broad theme “Current Paths and New Horizons” on 11-14 June 2024 at the Joensuu campus. The topics cover all aspects (fundamentals and applications, classical and quantum) of coherence and polarization of light in optical science and technology.

The conference is a sequel to the 1st and 2nd Joensuu Conferences on Coherence and Random Polarization, held in Joensuu in 2014 and 2018, with some 60 participants from all over the world in each. The roots of the Joensuu Conferences go even further back, to the meeting “Partial Electromagnetic Coherence and 3D Polarization” organized in summer 2009 at Koli near Joensuu, and to the ICO topical meeting “Polarization Optics” held in 2003 in Polvijärvi.
