Facilities of the University of Eastern Finland

Facilities on the Joensuu Campus

The Joensuu Campus hosts several rentable facilities, they are marked with * in the lists below. Facility reservations for teaching and the university's own activities are always prioritised. However, when facilities are not used by the university, they may be reserved by external customers. Each of the facilities are providing internet access for laptop users. For further information about wifi, please contact IT Service Desk, tel. +358 294 4 58880, or servicedesk@uef.fi.

Reservations should be made by using the facility reservation form, and  we will confirm the reservation by email.

Due to software licensing, IT rooms can only by reserved by pubic sector actors.

The opening hours of the buildings may differ during public holidays. The doors of main buildings are open according to Library´s and eLearning Support Services Office´s (Oppari) opening hours.

Facility reservation service is open:
Mon–Fri from 9:00 to 15:00 (1.9.–31.5.) and 
Mon–Fri from 9:00 to 14:00 (1.6.–31.8.).

The restaurant kitchen is not rented to third parties. In connection to renting the Carelia Hall, no separate facility rent is charged for the restaurant dining room, if the catering of the event is ordered from the University of Eastern Finland’s contract restaurant.

The name and contact details of the person responsible for the event and a complete invoicing address must be provided at the time of reservation. The rent includes normal facilities management officers’ services on weekdays from 8 am to 6 pm. Additional services will be charged as indicated in the price list. No separate rent will be charged for lobby facilities upon the renting of a hall. It is prohibited to rent the facilities to a third party. The reservation must be cancelled in writing no later than 14 days prior to the event; otherwise,the rent will be charged in full.
