The University of Eastern Finland presented awards to accomplished teachers in the university’s Learning Environment Seminar on Tuesday, 22 August.

The findings of Mengwen Guo, PhD, provide new insights and approaches for studies on the polarization and electromagnetic coherence of three-dimensional light fields.

The doctoral dissertation in the field of Physics will be examined at the Faculty of Science, Forestry and Technology, Joensuu Campus.

Researchers from the Department of Physics and Mathematics at the University of Eastern Finland are involved in the international H-cube project, which aims at developing a ready-for-the-market, room temperature hyperspectral camera for Terahertz radiation.

The Academy of Finland’s Research Council for Natural Sciences and Engineering has granted 3.5 million euros of funding to new Academy Projects at the University of Eastern Finland.
