The European Commission has issued a Master Course Award to the Erasmus+ Mundus Joint Master’s Degree Programme in Clinical Linguistics, EMCL, conducted at the University of Eastern Finland. The award ceremony was held in Brussels today. The EMCL programme is one of the five oldest Erasmus Mundus programmes still running today, and the award is a recognition of the programme’s outstanding contribution to the success of the Erasmus Mundus programmes over the years.
The two-year EMCL programme provides students with an opportunity for an interdisciplinary study of general linguistics, neurolinguistics and psycholinguistics. The programme is offered in cooperation with the University of Ghent in Belgium and the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, with all students completing studies in all three universities. The programme also has an extensive global network that includes 26 partners from various sectors. All students complete an internship at one of the consortium’s partner organisations of their choice in Europe, Asia, Australia or the United States.
The award was presented in the Beyond Borders and Boundaries: 20 years of Erasmus Mundus conference in Brussels on 27 May 2024.
