There is a power outage affecting the Aurora I and Aurora II buildings on 25 July, and for example the electronic locks aren't working. There is no electricity in the buildings at all.
Some maintenance work has been carried out in the Aurora buildings on 24 July, and the power outage is thought to be caused by a transformer failure. Backup power is sought to be used to open the doors.
The duration of the power outage is not known. Remote work is recommended for people working in Aurora buildings. You can find a possibility for remote working in, for example, the Carelia building.
We will continue updating the staff at the Joensuu Campus about the situation as more information on the duration of the power outage and repair work becomes available.
