The European Academy of Sciences and Arts has invited UEF’s Professor of English Jopi Nyman as a new member in its meeting in August 2021. Professor Nyman is currently Vice Dean at the Philosophical Faculty and leads UEF’s Research Community Borders, Mobility and Cultural Encounters. His research focus is on Anglophone literatures and questions of cultural encounters. Professor Nyman is the first member from the UEF School of Humanities to join the Academy.
The European Academy of Sciences and Arts is one of the most significant European Academies. It promotes innovative research, interdisciplinary and transnational collaboration, as well as the exchange and dissemination of knowledge. Based in Salzburg, Austria, the European Academy of Science and Arts has more than 2 000 members.
