University of Eastern Finland signs ISE petition for more investment in Horizon Europe

The University of Eastern Finland has signed a petition by the Initiative for Science in Europe, ISE, asking the EU’s Member States to keep their commitment to Horizon Europe, the EU’s framework programme for research and innovation, which is currently under preparation.

By signing the petition, the University of Eastern Finland agrees with ISE that investing in education, research and innovation is of utmost importance for the future of Europe. The initial budget of Horizon Europe has been slashed by more than 30%, way beyond the cuts expected upon Brexit. Such a low commitment to Horizon Europe will have a negative impact on European economy.
