Virtual Open Day on 22 November highlights UEF’s educational opportunities in English

The University of Eastern Finland organises its annual Virtual Open Day on Wednesday, 22 November, at 14.00 –16.00, to showcase the university’s courses, programmes and services offered in English.

The Virtual Open Day is specifically aimed at people interested in the university’s educational opportunities available in English.

In addition to showcasing the university’s educational opportunities, the event also offers glimpses into the university’s other international activities, such as alumni outreach and engagement activities, employment, and international networks. The programme also includes interviews of the universities students and alumni. The event will be opened by Academic Rector Tapio Määttä. After the live session, participants are welcomed to stay online for another hour to chat with the university’s staff and students.

Currently, the University of Eastern Finland is home to around 2,000 international students. The university’s academic offering includes more than 20 Master’s degree programmes and four Bachelor’s degree programmes taught in English, a wide range of opportunities for student exchange, research training for doctoral researchers, and the UEF Summer School.
