Learning outcomes:
The student can greet others, introduce themselves, give a brief description of themselves and ask and provide information in Finnish. The student understands simple spoken and written messages and can produce them themselves. The student knows the most important features of Finnish and knows something about the Finnish way of life. The student knows basic vocabulary and structures.
The objective is to attain the level A1.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference.
The course does not require previous Finnish studies. The course is aimed for complete beginners.
Study methods: Online lectures, independent online study, and finishing assignments. Successful completion of the course requires the completion of course assignments within the specified schedule and a passing grade in the final exam.
Schedules: This course will be organized from February 4 to March 14. Online teaching on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 14-16 (on 4.2., 6.2., 13.2., 27.2., 11.3. and 13.3.). Active participation to the lectures is needed to successfully complete the course.
