Learning outcomes: The student can communicate in recurring everyday affairs in Finnish. They can express their wishes and needs and conduct simple matters on the phone. They know some polite expressions in Finnish and can follow simple directions. They can describe events in the past briefly. They understand the main points of easy media content on familiar topics and can gather information from formally standard texts. They can write short texts and perform in routine communication that includes exchanging information on familiar topics. The student is aware of their own language skills. They can verbally influence their surroundings and things pertaining to themselves. They know the basic structures of Finnish society and Finnishness.
The objective is to attain the level A1.3 of the Common European Framework of Reference.
Before registering for this course, the student should have completed the courses Finnish 1A and 1B or have corresponding skills. (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages level A1.2.)
Study methods: Active participation in teaching, independent online study and finishing assignments. Written final exam.The successful completion of the course and participating in an exam requires active participation in teaching and the completion of course assignments within the specified schedule. The course is considered interrupted if the student has not returned the assignments within the specified schedule.
Schedules: This course will be organized from January 13 to February 19. Online teaching on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12-14.

The study fee is 20 euros per ECTS credit for individual study units.The study fee is paid at registration.
