The course focuses on practicing everyday communication situations (e.g., running errands self-introduction, daily life conversations) and Finnish pronunciation. Listening comprehension skills are deepened in the course. The course introduces the typical characteristics of spoken language and regional dialects. Reacting in recurring and familiar interaction situations is practiced in the course.
Before attending this course, a student should have completed Finnish 1A or/and Finnish 1B or have corresponding knowledge and skills in Finnish.
Study methods: Active participation in classroom teaching in Joensuu or in Kuopio, independent online study and finishing assignments.
The successful completion of the course demands completion of course assignments within the specified schedule. Course includes a video assignment.
Schedules: This course will be organized from October 28 to December 4. On-campus teaching (you can participate in Joensuu or in Kuopio) on Mondays and Wednesdays at 14-16 and on Fridays at 10-12 (only on 1.11., 15.11., 29.11). Active participation to the lectures is needed to successfully complete the course.
