Learning outcomes: After completing the course, students will know how the Finnish working life, labour market and working culture function and will be aware of what positions and opportunities are available to highly educated people. Completing the course enhances students’ ethical skills while they plan their careers and gain competences to seek employment in duties and positions they find meaningful. While developing their digital and cooperation competences, the course promotes students’ self-management, critical thinking and active data processing skills and the ability to use and process information for effective communication.

Further information: The course will be arranged in the autumn and spring semesters. The course is open to all undergraduate and graduate students and the students with the continued right to study as well as open university students. The course is best suited for students for whom the transition into working life is topical. The language of instruction is English.

The student will complete the course independently online within the given deadlines. No lectures or other meetings.

Schedule: 09.09.2024 - 29.11.2024

You can obtain the grade for the course in any of the 4 assessment points by finishing your course work before the set days 1.10., 22.10., 12.11. and 3.12.2024.

Students acquaint themselves with the material in the learning environment and complete the required assignments. Interaction with other students in the learning environment is essential to the way of learning in this course. To pass the course (PASS/FAIL), students must complete the tasks in the learning environment successfully.

Study units cost 20 € / credit. This price holds for the academic year 2024–2025.

II Proceed to identify yourself using the Suomi.fi service, fill in your personal information to the registration form, confirm your registration and pay the study fees. If you cannot use the Suomi.fi service, please contact our Student Affairs secretary, their information can be found below.

III Your registration will typically be processed in 2-5 working days. During peak registration periods, this may take up to 10 days. After this period, you will get an automatic message which includes a link to the starting instructions. Please read and follow the instructions carefully.

 

If you do not have a UEF username, you will also get instructions for activating one. Access rights will be added to your username when your study right begins.
