The course consists of the following areas of career planning
- Self-knowledge and competence identity
- Career opportunities and competence requirements for working life
- Career portfolio as a tool for skills documentation and self-reflection
- Directing one’s career path towards working life or further education
Learning outcomes: The course provides basic information on career planning and career portfolios. After completing the course, students will have knowledge and tools for developing their career skills. Deliberating upon their values in the process of career planning will develop the students’ ethical competence. Implementing the course online will help train the students’ digital and online collaboration skills, independent work approach and time management.
The student will complete the course independently online within the given deadlines. No lectures or other meetings.
Learning outcomes

Modes of study: Students acquaint themselves with the material in the learning environment and complete the required assignments. Interaction with other students in the learning environment is essential to the way of learning in this course. To pass the course (PASS/FAIL), students must complete the tasks in the learning environment successfully.

Learning materials: Material will be distributed during the course.
Further information: The course is offered in the autumn and spring semesters. The course is open to all undergraduate and graduate students, and the students with the continued right to study as well as open university students.
Study units cost 20 € / credit point. This price holds for the academic year 2024–2025.
