The courses in public health offer an introduction to the wide variety of studies in public health field. Public health is about promotion of health and wellbeing of individuals, populations, communities and environments. The set of courses introduces how health-related issues are examined from their biological and clinical manifestations and from broader social, cultural and global perspectives. The courses include epidemiology and biostatistics courses, that deal with how to study health related issues. Courses also introduce to public health challenges in different regions of the globe. Health promotion and food culture are also offered as basic level courses.
The courses are well suited for persons wanting to get an introduction to public health, planning studies in health related fields or updating their knowledge in current global public health challenges.

Our study fee is 20 euros per ECTS credit. This price holds for the academic year 2024–2025.

By paying the study fee, the student receives a temporary right to study that entitles them to attend a particular course. The right to study is course-specific, and is required to complete the course as specified in the syllabus for the term, covering both teaching and course exams. If the course is continuously open for registration, the maximum time to complete the course is from 1 August to 31 July for that academic year.
Literature acquisition costs and borrowing fees are not included in the tuition fee.
