Contents: Globalization, global education, education policies, the meaning of global education for culture and sustainability.
After the course, the student will:
- Be familiar with the concepts of modernization, progress and globalization
- Understand the positive and negative phenomena of globalization
- Understand the nature and meaning of global education for culture and sustainable lifestyles
- Be able to analyse the significance of globalization for national education policy
- Learn critical thinking skills.
Study methods:
Alternative 1: Study circle and report 18 h; independent work approx. 117 h.
Alternative 2: Learning tasks 20 h, essay 30 h, independent work approx. 85 h.

The student quota for open university students on this course is 5.
The study fee is 20 euros per ECTS credit for individual study units, and 15 euros per credit for study modules. The study fee is paid at registration.

By paying the study fee, the student receives a temporary right to study that entitles them to attend a particular course.
