Workshop: Pastoral Theology and the Challenges of Sexuality in Orthodox Church

The UEF School of Theology discipline of Practical Theology, together with the Finnish Orthodox Clergy Association, organize a workshop that focuses on contemporary questions of pastoral theology and sexuality, on 28–29 April 2022. The lecturer and supervisor of the workshop is Dr Vasileios Thermos, Associate Professor of Pastoral Care at the Higher Ecclesiastical Academy of Athens, who is also a theologian and a youth psychiatrist. The lectures and the workshop are primarily offered for students of theology. Students in other fields are also welcome! The language of the workshop is English. It is possible to complete an assignment for 2 study credits.

Enrolling

Enrolling on the workshop takes place in Peppi by 25th April using the one of the following course code of theology:

Orthodox theology: 2432008 Käytännöllinen etiikka ja asketiikka, 2432001 Kohtaamisen teologia, or 2433430 Pastoraaliteologia.

Western theology: 2422015 Perhe ja parisuhde kirkossa ja yhteiskunnassa, 2423433 Käytännöllisen teologian ajankohtaisia kysymyksiä, or 2423428 Sielunhoito ja pastoraalipsykologia.
